Separation of private/company trips with the help of GPS tracking

Would you like to know how much your salesmen work and how much they use the cars for private purposes? Accurate accounting by keeping personal right in mind.

Salesmen and many employees drive cars also available for private use. In case of 24-hour data acquisition, this would lead to personal rights problems, as the employer would gain access to private traffic information of employees.

iData Kft. developed the iTrack GPS Tracking System in such a way that personal rights are not violated, yet accurate accounting is still possible.

Tracking in private cases

During map tracking, cars switched to private appear in blue, and their last company position is shown. This is how transparent tracking can be provided while taking personal rights maximally into account.

Options of processing private data

Private routes may be hidden in many ways: the system continues to receive the data, but this remains invisible to the user. In this case, the number of kilometres travelled will be stored correctly in private cases as well, but the routes are not visible. We recommend this version; in compliance with the legislation, the employer has no access the personal data, only to the statistics shown from them (e.g. the number of kms travelled in the private position).

The on-board unit turns the option of GPS reception off, and does not send its position to the headquarters. In this case, the server cannot collect data concerning the number of kilometres travelled either, but neither do personal data get into the possession of iData. (It should be noted that we cannot associate these data to persons, i.e. these are not personal data for iData, only for the employer.)

The private-company switch turns the on-board unit off, thus all contact between the on-board unit and the central server is lost.
